Stored at the Library of Congress, this a wood celestial globe with a Persian hand painted manuscript.. As old as 1650, globes like this and even in metal were made in the era as philosophy and astronomy was blooming. Constellations are painted according to Arabic tradition. Must be a pleasure to own an object like this!
